VA Platformby LISS

VA Platform by LISS — vehicle and container number recognition on cameras. Entry cameras keep the log themselves

VA Platform reads container and vehicle numbers from your IP cameras, identifies the vehicle type and tracks how full the waste bins are. Container numbers are checked against ISO 6346; one pass is one record with a frame. It runs on your server and sends data to your systems via API.

01 · Frame

The camera streams — the system takes a frame

An IP camera at the gate streams RTSP. A frame is taken on motion or at a set interval. A work zone is set — only where the number passes. The date and time the camera prints over the image are masked.

Container numbers

ISO 6346

The number is read from the frame and checked against ISO 6346: the check digit is recalculated. If it doesn’t match, the number is flagged for review, not passed off as correct.

The site camera sends a frame every 3–5 minutes. Each bin in the frame is assessed separately: fill percentage and status.

Containers and plates in one log. Filters: camera, number kind, number, vehicle type, status, period.

04 · Bins

Bins: collect when full, not on schedule

The site camera sends a frame every 3–5 minutes. Several bins are marked up in one frame — each is assessed separately. Only status changes go to the history.

The system estimates fill level from the frame — the collection decision stays with you.

05 · Monitor & log

Runs on your server, sends data via API

VA Platform makes no decisions for security — it provides data. The barrier, passes and accounting belong to the system that receives the data: at LISS, that is Avto-okno and CTMS.

Questions

Cost

What VA Platform costs is made of

VA Platform is installed on the site’s server and tuned to your cameras, so there is no price list on the page: the cost is estimated after a survey. It is made of four parts.

  1. Camera survey and setup

Angles, light and distance to the number; working zones and masks for each camera; a pilot on one camera.

  2. Connection to your system

The log goes over REST API with an OpenAPI description to the CTMS, the «Авто-окно» gate, 1C or another system. Priced by the number of systems.

  3. A server with a graphics card

The recognition models run on the site’s server, with no cloud. If there is no suitable server, we size its configuration to the number of cameras.

  4. Fine-tuning and the other cameras

Fine-tuning to your numbers, vehicles and bins, then connecting the remaining cameras.

How to get an estimate
  1. Request: how many cameras and what is at the gate
  2. Survey: one camera’s stream and its log
  3. Estimate of cost and timing
